Thankful Thursday - Dog Park

Yes, a cat can be very grateful for dog park. Let me count the ways.

1. No senseless barking which disturbs my nap.
2. Dad is gone, so no evil vacuum cleaner.
3. Parker and I have the run of the house without being interrupted.
4. Mom can double check the food bowls without dog help, only cat help.
5. Quality Mom lap time.
6. Dogs get a bath when they roll in something.
7. I get to snicker at the wet dog.
8. Did I mention no senseless barking?

Here is Dad with the doggy culprits at dog park:

Friends dogs: Norwich terrier, Tipsy; black dog behind Dad, Scoop
Our dog: white one, Dali
Neighbor dog: Big mud drenched goldendoodle, Argos, who got a bath! (SNICKER!)

Wordless Wednesday - The Longest Yard Mancat

Mom's in-laws don't believe how big Parker is. Mom took this with her phone, what a lousy shot! However, you can see Parks is more than a yard!

Thankful Thursday - Mom Talks

I am very grateful that I have the ability to take a dear, dear elderly friend to the oncologist today. She had a growth removed from her head, and it was diagnosed as breast cancer. So, today we go to find out the options.

3 of her children live in the Midwest, and one in the south. They rely on us to help their mom and give her comfort. I am glad that they have this amount of confidence in us.

So, for all of those with elderly friends and parents, I am thankful I can do something good in your honor.

Wordless Wednesday - Parker and Quilting Table

Mom got a new quilting table, and Parker had to try it out to see if it held 21 pound of mancat.

Lending a Helping Paw - Baby Patches Quilt

As you guys know, we love to help out pals. Mom loves to quilt, so we get mom to donate quilts for whatever fundraiser is going on. We get to help her, especially Parker, then we get our picture in the blog. I guess we aren't all that altruistic are we? MOL!

This fundraiser is for @BabyPatches and her human who co-own Nipandbones.com. It will be auctioned on the stunningkeisha.com blogsite, so you will have to check there. I am not sure when it will go on the block, so I would suggest checking every day!

We think we will name this quilt "Baby Patches and the Butterflies". Appropriate? Mom fell in love with the soothing colors and modern graphic feel of the cotton panel. She is about 1/3 done quilting it, and will probably add beads or other embellishments. The quilt is about 32" x 38". the binding is the darker pink (almost salmon), so should frame the quilt quite nicely. It the winner has a pink allergy, the binding can be changed. MOL!

All materials are 100% cotton (except for beads) and since there isn't fire retardant batting in the quilt, it is not suggested for use as children's bedding.

I hope you noticed that I said it is 1/3 quilted. I promise that you will have the quilt within 4 weeks after the bid is finalized, hopefully less, but when mom gets beading, you never know when she will stop!

Our suggestion is to start bidding at $30 and step back, cuz there are a lot of anipals who want Mom's quilts!

Thankful Thursday - Boxes

I love boxes. I feel protected and cozy. Mom buys a lot of things from Amazon, and I am thankful for the boxes. Sometimes Parker gets to the box first, but he doesn't fit very often. So, I am thankful that I have a physically large brother because that means it is MY box!
