After 4 weeks of tears and treats and prayers and training, we have decided that Neena needs to go back to Stray Rescue. Since we have been working closely with Stray Rescue, they know that we have been trying very hard. It is obvious that the Kruses and Neena are not a match. She needs different care and attention than we can provide. She will return to her foster parent and will be loved and looked after until another adoption can be arranged.
I am sending her beautiful polka dotted collar and leash with a care package. I have put cat fur on them so they will be lucky for the next owner. We wish you much love and understanding in your next life, Neena.
I'm so sorry she didn't work out for you, but can well understand the need for her to return back to foster care. You and your family has given it a very good try and did everything you could do. We've only had 1 dog, that we got as a puppy, so we are not experts by any means. But it would seem very difficult to train a "problem" dog when both peeps have to go t0 work every day (as most of the world does now days). Somewhere out there will be a good match for Neena & somewhere out there is a good match for you. Don't let this one bad experience prevent you from adopting another - in time.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry my friends, I know how hard you tried. Neena is very lucky that you love her so much that you can let her go.
ReplyDeleteYou're all in our thoughts.
I iz verry sad for you an your mom an dad. I knowz you rilly tried hard an wanted to luv Neena lots. You did teh rite thing for Neena so try not to be sad cuz its going to be okai, it means Neena haz diffrent fambly waiting for her wat needs her, and someother dog needs you. *softpaw*
ReplyDeleteThe woman sympathizes w/you b/c she would've returned me many times if it wasn't for Pop. She always sez that there are thousands of loving cats in shelters being put to sleep every day and she had to rescue a feral one with no love in her soul. That isn't true, tho, you guys know how lovable I am, right?
ReplyDeleteCathy, on line you are adorable! I have never lived wiht you, so can't comment on that. MOL
ReplyDeleteIt is sad but you did wat it best fur Neena. I shure she will find anuther family dat is rite fur her.
ReplyDeleteOh Mags I'm so sorry that it didn't work out with Neena, it must have been so tough for your folks, despite their hard work to have to send her back.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Neena.
Wanda & Art i'm so sorry that you and neena couldnt make the perfect home together. But you guys were truly brave, as hard as i know it was, to make the really difficult decision to take her back to rescue. i know she will find the permanent home she deserves and you will find the dog meant for you! ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you and Neena weren't a good match. I hope Neena finds her forever home really soon!

I'm so sorry that Neena didn't work out for your family. They're doing the right thing (although it's very hard). She'll get a home that's a "right fit" and your family will soon find a dog. It's a terrible shame what some of these pets have gone through before they're rescued. Take good care,

Your humans did the right and brave thing in returning Neena so she can find a home that's right for her. It's not doing an animal any favors to keep her in a place where she doesn't fit.
