The Blocks Have Been Mailed!

LeoPussMan has informed me that everyone's blocks have been mailed! There are instructions, and a practice block. I am so excited about this! Can't wait to smell everyone!

Leo really made sure all the blocks are mailed correctly. Such good cat help. No quilt is complete without anipal hair!

No good quilt is ever complete without cat help. Here are the first of Amy's Quilt snoopervisors: Parker, red cat; NutmegTorbie,kind of calico kitty; and Annie Sparkles, tuxedo kitty.

Fantastic Quilt Friday!

#AmysQuiltArmy marches forward! My second in command, @LeoPussMan tells me he has 130 squares requested for signatures. What a phenomenal worldwide outpouring of support and love!

My block makers are @BoomietheCat in Toronto, @CheshireK's UH in Texas, and @DazeeCat in North Carolina. The next time you see them on Twitter give them a big thanks! I will make up a few kits for those who want to make their own block.

The block makers are sending the blocks to Leo who will distribute to all US anipals. leo will also send a big package to @Jazzydacat in the UK for european distribution. Boomie will send squares to Canadian friends.

Included with the block is a practice piece so you can see how it is to write on fabric. there will also me a piece of freezer paper that instructs you to iron it onto the back of the block. The freezer paper stabilizes the fabric so it is easier to write.

I believe the blocks get sent back to me.

Once I get the blocks, I will count, and arrange, and make a pleasing quilt arrangement. You will have pictures of that process, I promise. Parker and I snoopervise every quilt layout.

I want to thank @LeoPussMan and @lilywhoT whose name I have spelled wrong for all their help in organizing this effort and creating my favorite thing, spreadsheets!

It certainly takes a world of anipals to create the love!

Thankful Thursday - BoSoxAmy and Seabasscat

last Thursday the apartment building that Amy, Lee, Sebastiancat, and DottieGP live in burnt to the ground. they were able to save the anipals, but that is all. I am SO thankful for this.

Anipals all over the world are joining together to help them piece their world back together. I am thankful for all the love and kindness from our anipal friends.

Lee is a great cook. We are collecting recipes for him. Amy is an avid read and lost her entire JANET EVANOVICH collection. Sebastian's needs are being taken of my all of his kitty friends.

Mom is a quilter and is coordinating a signature quilt from all their friends on twitter and bloggers. Amy says their bedroom will be purple. Mom has found a great batik which encompasses most purple tones and shades. It will be composed of signature and 9 patch blocks and it will be professionally quilted by a longarm machine quilter. I will also get it appraised for insurance purposes.

Anyone who wants a square already made to sign, contact @LeoPussMan on twitter or Leo Puss man on facebook. You can also let me know, maggietkat at yahoo.com. the light colored block in the middle is where you sign. You can sign blocks for you and your human.

If you like to sew, there will be blocks for you to try your hand. You can sew together the signature block or the 9 patch block. You can sew as many as you like!!!!! Again contact Leo puss man or myself.
